Hey guys! Got permission from the mods to share this. We’re an agritech startup and we’re currently open sourcing our ExoMars based rover and expanding our work. I’ve been on this sub for quite a while and thought it would be good to give it a go with my first post. Blurb is below!
Earth Rover (www.earthrover.cc) is looking for an experienced ROS (Robot Operating System) expert to join us in making robotic agriculture a reality for farmers. We’re supported by the largest organic farmer in the UK and are deploying our BETA weeding and crop monitoring service by the end of this year.
- C++ ROS programmer and python
- Experience with ROS ground-based autonomous vehicle navigation, localisation and planning
Desirable: – Computer vision – Familiarity with continuous integration – ROS testing – ROS-I standard – Git
Location – Our technology team is in London, the ideal candidate should be based in London or can locate here.
Salary will be negotiable based on experience.
Your work will be to be in charge of the open-source aspect of our rover platform – managing the open sourcing of our agri-bot rover. This base rover platform was initially developed by RALSpace through the ExoMars project, and we have developed on top of this and are now open-sourcing it.
