Advice about robotics in college

I don’t quite know where to ask this question, but I figured the r/robotics community could shed a little light on my decision and give me some advice.

So I’ve applied to far to Texas A&M, UT Austin, Carnegie Mellon, Boston University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Colorado School of Mines, and CU Boulder.

I’m planning on majoring in computer science or systems engineering, but I want that to feed into a good robotics program, because frankly, having my code translate to JUST a computer program or a website or an application is incredibly boring. Writing code that directly translates into the physical world, however, is a personal passion of mine. Any thoughts?
