[Question] Options to cheaply make Stanford’s open source quadruped “Doggo”

I saw the Stanford open source quadruped robot “Doggo” that debuted at ICRA. They are saying it would take $3000 to make. I wonder if outsourcing the manufacturing using this bill of materials (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MQRoZCfsMdJhHQ-ht6YvhzNvye6xDXO8vhWQql2HtlI/edit#gid=726381752) we could make a hobbyist-grade version that’s within the reach of your average tinkerer?
