This is very crude, I’m sorry. It’s meant to show a base that’s square or circular–doesn’t matter. There’s a hollow tube that’s cut out from the top to halfway down, and a blue rod attached at the top, hanging in the cut-out space. Using something like a stepper motor in the lower half of the tube, how would you transmit power to where the blue rod is attached so it can rotate 360 degrees? I’m not trying to run the rod quickly like a motor…just move it accurately to a position between 0 and 360 degrees.
Thanks for any pointers. I’m totally new at thinking about mechanical things, and I have a simple arduino project I dreamed up that will throw me into that domain.
