From what I’ve seen, electric linear actuators are able to put out large amounts of force, but are not very fast. All of the actuators I’ve seen use Brushed DC motors, but not brushless. Is there a specific reason for this, i.e. not enough torque? The way I see, some brushless motors can have much higher top speeds than brushed, so theoretically couldn’t you make a fast linear actuator using a BLDC motor?
