Assume there was a quadrupedal robot. The legs are skinny as viewed from the side and wide as viewed from the front, making each foot a blade perpendicular to a line running straight from the robot’s back to the front. The legs are not capable of rotating, but are capable of moving forward and backward independently, with two legs on either side. Would this machine be able to turn (change the direction it’s facing?) If so, how? Could it do so while moving?
