NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc.(NASDAQ: NSSC) one of the world’s leading solutions providers and manufacturers of high tech electronic intrusion security, IoT connected home, video and fire systems, as well as enterprise-class access control and door locking products today, announced that the Northwest Independent School District (“NISD”), located in Texas, is installing access control products made by NAPCO’s Continental Access division.
NISD operates 18 elementary schools, five middle schools, three comprehensive high schools and one accelerated high school. The student population is approximately 24,000.
The project is ongoing with multiple schools already completed and another three to five schools expected to be completed during the fall of 2018. NISD has chosen to use Continental Access’ CA4k software and associated hardware in order to secure all the outer doors for each school in the district.
The CA4k software program has the fastest processing times currently available, rapid door opening times, full data downloads in minutes, email and SMS alerts and can control up to 32,000 doors.
The access control system combines with wireless locking, alarm monitoring & IP video.
