I am trying to create a Robot similar to Venus flytrap. I am trying to catch bugs like mosquitoes. I am planning on placing the sensors along the tip of the claw . If the bug triggers 2 or more sensors then only the claw will close so as to differentiate between bug and drifting object. If I use ir sensors, it doesn’t sense objects above or below it. So the possibility of bug passing below the sensor is high. Suggest any sensors which can detect objects slightly above and below it. Are there any other sensor placements for maximising the triggering of sensor by the bug.
