Does anyone know a easily compilable CPU-based Python/C++ library for people detection?

I’m doing this project that I have to detect people and the robot will approach them, does anyone know any library that can be run on a low end to mid end laptop, and can be compiled easily? I got a RGBd camera and the laptop webcam. I am trying to set this up fast. The slow frame rate is fine for me like 1 frame /s. It doesn’t have to be in ROS package already. I’ve tried the people package, the spencer people pack, cob people pack, but they don’t work with my Orbbek Astra camera, and I haven’t yet have time to find out why, but they were all for some specific robots. Essentially, my system already has point clouds, RGBd image, and webcam image being published. Any suggestion will help thanks.
