Win an autonomous vehicle ride at Robotics Summit & Expo

Optimus Ride, a leading autonomous vehicle technology company located in Boston, is raffling off three autonomous vehicle demo rides at the Robotics Summit & Expo. The demo rides, which will take place in Boston’s Seaport District, will be scheduled for a later date at a mutually convenient time.

To enter the raffle, visit Optimus Ride in Booth 208 on the exhibition floor. The raffle winners will be announced during a networking reception at the Robotics Summit & Expo.

The Robotics Summit & Expo (June 5-6 in Boston) will feature 70-plus exhibitors, 60-plus speakers, AWS RoboMaker Immersion Day, the Future of Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Workshop, the MassRobotics Engineering Career Fair networking receptions and more fun surprises. Full conference passes are $595, while expo-only passes are just $50. Academic discounts are available. Register today.

Optimus Ride spun out of MIT in 2015 and has 30-plus years of interdisciplinary university research in self‑driving technologies (DARPA Urban Challenge), electric vehicles (CityCar), and Mobility-on-Demand Systems. The team also includes a decade of industrial and entrepreneurial experience that combines manufacturing robots, urban design, and shared vehicle fleet management.

Optimus Ride has been testing its autonomous vehicles in two Massachusetts locations – in Boston’s Seaport District and South Weymouth – for two-plus years. But the company is now bringing its vehicles to California, New York and Virginia.

Slated to launch in Q2 2019, Optimus Ride will provide an autonomous shuttle service at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 300-acre urban industrial park with more than 400 manufacturing businesses and roughly 9,000 workers. The vehicles will do a loop on the park’s private roads, providing “thousands” of ferry passengers and commuters with a new transportation option. According to a press release, Optimus Ride will be the first company to deploy commercial self-driving cars in the state of New York.

In California, Optimus Ride is heading to Paradise Valley Estates, a gated community in Fairfield, California. There it will provide self-driving tours to prospective residents and a shuttle service to residents to other locations within the property. This is also expected to start in Q2 2019.

In June 2019 Optimus Ride will provide tenants at Brookfield Properties’ Halley Rise, a new $1.4 billion mixed-use development in Reston, Virginia, with a autonomous shuttle service to locations within the property.

Optimus Ride CEO and co-founder Ryan Chin has said the company is on a “mission to transform mobility.” Robotics Summit attendees can see what Optimus Ride is up to in Booth 208 and a select few will get to go along for a ride!
