[T] How to get both speed and torque out of a stepper motor using an advanced microstepper controller

Please watch the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E_rDCFdIw4&feature=youtu.be and watch us get first a regular sized NEMA 17, then a large NEMA 34 (1/2″ shaft diameter) stepper motor following a position input using a modern “dynamic” drive technique with a microstep controller that doesn’t allow the coil inductance to block current (torque) buildup for nearly as long as the old “static” techniques. Stepper motors are great because they stay in sync with each other and they also stay in position with high static torque when they’re not moving!
