I am building a remote controlled cat food dispenser. I have a cyllinder shaped container filled with about 500g food, that will be spun by a servo.
However I am not sure how much torque I will need on the servo. I know that 1 kg cm torque means that it is able to move a 1kg weight placed 1cm away from the center of the shaft, but I am not sure how to calculate it when the weight is distributed across the servo’s arm and not in a specific place of it.
