Feasibility of warehouse products having a universal “handle” to simplify robotic grasping?

I was just reading about how grasping is still super difficult for robots when they are required to deal with objects made of many different materials and objects coming in all shapes/sizes (like in an Amazon warehouse).

I was wondering if it would be feasible to have the manufacturers attach a universal handle to their products, and the robot arm could then grasp every product using that handle (or multiple handles on each product), which would be something like a little plastic circle with a hole in the middle.
