I am looking to make a bldc driver similar to an odrive board but only for 1 motor and with an integrated magnetic rotation sensor(This is a pretty common project). The motor I am planning on using has a 5A rated current and 15.25A peak current. I am split between using a drv 8323 which has integrated fets 9A rated and 13A peak current, or a different drv83xx chip that doesn’t have the integrated fets. I would like to be able to run the motor for short bursts at the 15.25A maximum. Would this be possible pushing the drv8323 a bit past its spec limit or should I use external fets with higher amperage allowances? Thanks!
